Door Knocker 

I only had a short time in the town of Marsala in western Sicily, but still managed to find a lot of interesting architecture. This particular door knocker grabbed my attention primarily because of the wear and tear on the door itself. Marsala is a port town and fittingly the metal knocker has carved an anchor shape into the wood. I love this image and I hope others will share my enthusiasm.
