Steps to Nowhere  

This shot was taken on the Island of Kefalonia, made famous as the shooting location for the movie – Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, starring Nicholas Cage. Whilst walking around the coast looking for interesting doors, I came upon this flight of stone steps. I stopped to take a photo of a dilapidated door, but it didn’t make the grade as an interesting subject. So my wife suggested I look behind the door itself, and this is what we found. She always reminds me that if it hadn’t been for her, I would have missed a great opportunity and an excellent image.
